Collaborating once again with Pretzel Films and guided by the creative expertise of Producer Tom Duke, our team at Seven Bison ventured into an intriguing project commissioned by St. James’s Place – a prominent player in wealth management and financial advice.
The challenge presented was unique: a series of videos seamlessly blending key employee interviews with 2D character animations. These animations were designed to symbolize shifts in client priorities, lifestyle, and social awareness, encapsulating their character. Our additional task included crafting a compelling logo animation.
The primary challenge lay in striking a balance between playfulness and the serious nature of the raised topics. Moreover, we were tasked with developing three distinct styles for each of the main characters—Joe, Anne, Maya, and David. The styles needed to be different enough to stand out individually but similar enough to be identified as part of one cohesive series.
Our team rose to the occasion, utilizing color to distinguish each character’s scenes while maintaining a cohesive visual thread throughout the series. The logo animation, executed with finesse, not only met expectations but also became a benchmark for all other text animations in the entire series.
