Under the creative direction of Richie Lattin and the adept production management of Michelle Scott-Morrison, our collaboration with Panda London via the commissioning agency Brickhouse led to an immersive project at Seven Bison, working in tandem with Film Vision for post-production.
Our focus: the creation of two distinct 3D VFX animations showcasing Panda London’s Memory Foam Mattress and Pillow. Tasked with complete post-production, excluding audio, our studio was transformed into a creative hub for bringing dreams to life. The overarching concept: crafting a commercial that exuded a dreamlike atmosphere.
The challenges were as dynamic as the concept itself. For the Memory Foam Pillow, we ventured into the creation of intricate 3D environments—a bamboo forest, a character lounging on a cloud—all to encapsulate the dreamy essence. The Memory Foam Mattress presented similar challenges, with an additional twist. Post-production intricacies required us to recreate the entire studio in 3D. The client’s vision of walls, windows, and the floor disappearing from the frame demanded a realistic replication of the entire set for later editing.
The overall challenge was a delicate balancing act—juggling all elements of post-production within tight deadlines while finding the sweet spot between reality and fantasy. Ensuring the created environments were not only visually stunning but also realistic enough for viewers to connect with was a unique hurdle.
